Decent turnout at Hopley House yesterday morning, some cars I've seen before and some I haven't. A bit mixed in with the general public just turning up to visit the cafe or farm shop or whatever, but I doubt their shop-holders would be happy if they closed it off to give us more room. They were talking about holding another one at some point.

The gent walking around (the owner?) taking photos mentioned that they'd like to do another in January. Whether many old cars will be on the road at that time of year I'm not sure though.

There's a NYD morning meet at the Cholmondeley Arms apparently, 10am onwards, and I think the VSCC gathering is in Hankelow.

Good turnout at Hankelow despite the weather early on being very wet.

Yes, I've just been told about that. I must get a form filled in sharp-ish.

A post on Facebook from Hopley House says they're doing a monthly classic car meet, on February 26th and March 26th. It was a decent turnout the other week, if a little confused mixed in with normal customer cars.

Next Saturday (11th) there's a new autojumble taking place, down the A41 over t'border in Shropshire.
It's the first time of running so I don't know how busy it'll be but we might pop along.

Sunday 12th is the Crewe Heritage centre meet.

There's a morning meeting at the Cholmondeley Arms on the 2nd April, too. Full list is:

April 2nd - Cholmondeley Arms
April 30th - Cholmondeley Arms
May 28th - Cholmondeley Arms
June 25th - Three Greyhounds Inn (Allostock, Knutsford)
July 30th - Mainwaring Arms (Whitmore, Newcastle under Lyme)
August 27th - Cholmondeley Arms
September 24th - Mainwaring Arms
October 29th - Cholmondeley Arms
January 1st 2024 - Cholmondeley Arms

Not in Cheshire, but I was pleased to get an entry form through for Llangollen Classic Transport Weekend the other day, for July 1st/2nd.

Meeting at Crewe Heritage Centre this coming Sunday Morning, the 9th. Also fairly local - though admittedly not in Cheshire - is Weston Park classic show, on the 9th and 10th.

If any one goes to Woodford keep an eye out for Austin Box sevens there were a couple there last time I went with owners electric conversion and I believe they were governed so that they could retain their period brakes and drive at period speeds.

I overheard someone talking about his electric Austin 7, glad I missed it tbh.

This weekend coming up is Sandbach Transport Festival, one I've not been to for years and won't this time either unfortunately. It's worth noting (I'd forgotten this) that the main vehicle display & parade is only on the Sunday, not both days.

https://www.sandbachtransportfestival.com/

Drive It Day on Sunday 23rd also.
