Hi Roger,
From the bumpiness of the track you must have got something of the impression of travelling around Brooklands.

Hi Roger
Quite a few of the photos are coming up as a little white box with a redX, when viewed as a slide show. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

It's doing the same to me in the main list, but not the same photos each visit.
There must be a problem with photobucket as I have heard complaints from other users on other forums.
I 'll repost them again later this evening without the bulk loader.
I'll try to keep them in order.
Not tried the 'View as slideshow' key yet. |

Peter. |
I did get the feeling that it was safer the faster you went.
I did lift of a fraction on the bank on one of the runs, didn't feel to good.
A mate following said it looked like the back of the car started to drift down the bank.
Car is only 540kg and I used to able to lift the back for parking in tight spots.
I use a cycle computer for accurate speed readings, the original is anything from 5-10 MPH, and more, out, and never the same twice and at 85 is swinging between 50 and 65.
It shows that the top speed I did on the circuit was 75. I know she can do more, she is due for a full service.
I did notice 60 on the banking.
Watching the Ulster made me think 'Brooklands'
Also the layout reminds me of the 1930's German GP / Autobahn circuit, name escapes me.
was the second best day this year after Little Gransden. |

Hi
I see that the Saxon was there, I wonder what the Ford people thought, seeing something they didn't follow through with. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

It has been there before and attended a Ford heritage event, I think that was last year.
Some of the people who worked on the original were very impressed even to the point of stating they thought it had been destroyed on first seeing it, not knowing it was a reproduction.
And to think there is only a 3/4 rear view of the original left, and that was in a magazine.
Even Fords records have no photo, or technical details left of the original. |
