Back again after a very long absence travelling the world!

Feels strange for me to post on a Morris page instead of the Austin one!

After twenty eight years of being very dissatisfied with my 1928 Morris Cowley tourer and most of that time spent up on axle stands, I have finally decided to do something with it.

The car was last started about three years ago and was running like a chaff cutter with a very rich mixture that I seemed unable to lean down. I went through my box of SU odds and sods three days ago and literally threw a carbie together from bits. I never even bothered to centralise the jet! I bolted this carbie on the car and then cranked it over on the handle. The very first swing it started! Sounded rough, but it started! It has actually motivated me to do something with the car after all this time!

Therefore for the last two days I have been removing the rear bodywork. The wooden frame is very sorry for itself and the tub section not much better, so I am having a go at building a roadster rear body for it. As soon as I get into the serious stuff I'll post a few photos. In the meantime, comments and/or suggestions would be appreciated!!
