What is the difference between Directional tyres and ordinary tyres.Could I put normal 155/13 tyres on my wee Suzuki. Would it make any difference, or are they fitted for a reason. Likewise could I put directional tyres on my marina...just wondered. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Hi
Bit of info here about rotational and also asymetric tyres.
http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/safety/directional-and-asymmetric-tyres.html
If you like to move your tyres around the car remember that rotationals can only be moved between front and back, they can't be moved diagonally without being turned on the rim.
Asymetrics on the other hand can be moved F to R and N/s to O/s, but can'rt be turned on the rim. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

I have never really understood why anyone would want to move tyres round? unless the wear on axles is different or you want all 4 tyres to wear out at the same time?

So if your wheel alignment is out its not like years ago when you could sort the wheel alignment and turn the tyre ( as long as it was still legal ).but my question was do I have to put directional tyres on to my Suzuki. will it affect it in any way. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

P.S. The reason I asked was that I have 4 almost new 155/13 tyres that I took off the estate and changed to 165/13. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |
