And quite possibly other vans too
Now I'm new to this Caravan ownership malarkey and I'm trying to work out the age. I've seen a serial number which ends in 74, and what little information I've found out via the web means that it's a 1974. However looking at other pictures of fibrelines on the web, would suggest it was earlier than 1974. Could anybody tell me the exact age or how to work it out via the serial number please?
Currently looks like this
and this
TVM in advance! |

Do the windows have Triplex glass? If it does loook for the word TOUGHENED or LAMINATED. Each of these words have 9 letters and if one has a dot above it then that is the year. EG a dot above the 'U' in toughened would identify a 3. Now all you need to know is the decade. If the dot is at the end or beginning of the words the that would be a zero. It's a rough check but is all the windows match it kinda makes it more certain.

Thanks for the reply. No none of the windows have stamps on, as it is normal glass (so to speak)
On another note, I do remember reading an article about triplex glass codes and found it quite interesting and informative! |
