The Estate went away again for filming. It will be on a programme called NEMESIS to be shown on BBC in the spring. Money for old junk springs to mind eh!!! _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Did it once with my FL1 Hire Car.
It involved a 90 mile round trip and a whole day for £90.
Obviously not a money making venture, but I did get to drive Catheryn Zeta Jones and Pam Ferris a few yards!

It went away again for filming in mid December on a trailer to.....LONDON. It was away for 3 days. Nemesis is an 8 part series by the writers and producers of Life on Mars and Spooks and stars Melissa George. The Chelsea tractor that was towing the trailer threw a cambelt on the way back at Penrith and the chap drove the estate from Penrith and was amazed at how it went (dont know why) One of the actresses took ill and it may be going back to London......fingers crossed. If you Google Nemesis it will tell you all about it. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Don't know whether it counts as filming, But I did spend half a day sailing up and down the Chesterfield Canal in my Reliant Robin. At times with the camera man aboard for Yorkshire television "Calendar".
He was most upset that the speedo did not register how fast (or was it slowly ) we were travelling.
I do still have a copy. Unfortunately it is on tape, so I cannot post it on here for a bit of amusement.

But I'm NOT ANYBODY!
I have made several unsuccessful attempts using conversion programmes.
I have one converted clip done on a friend's combined DVD/VHS deck, but I do not have one of those.

Oh well I did have a dvd recorder though so thats why its easy I suppose !!
I just conneccted an old vhs player/recorder and a dvd player/recorder to a tv and copied the tapes onto dvds. Once ready you just finalise them so that they can be played on any dvd player. |

The estate is going away again to North Berwick and Port Seaton. Quite a few old cars are going I believe. Its a Hollywood blockbuster called The Railwayman starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Well a friend copied some VHS tapes to DVD for me. But then another problem cropped up!
I tried to copy the DVD contents to my PC so that I could edit out the rubbish.
Nothing doing! By any twist I could think of Bob.
I have a Dual core processor and plenty of ROM. Anyone any ideas?

I've done a certain amount of TV/Film work.
My most spectacularly successful result was when Dave Stewart (of The Eurythmics) woke up one morning and decided to be a famous film producer.
To cut a long story short, it culminated in All Saints (for the benefit of Emmerson and Brian M, All Saints are/were a hip popular music combo consisting of pulchritudinous young women) cavorting semi-naked in front of the Cheltenham Sable I was at that time using. The film was called "Honest"; you may have missed the Appleton sisters' semi-naked appearance as you concentrated on the Cheltenham Sable behind them. |

Hi Jim,
I think Windows Movie Maker is part of the standard windows package although you may need to select it from the optional bits. Failing that you can download it for free:
http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows-live/movie-maker-get-started
Having got that you can capture your video from your disc and edit out the bits you don't want, then save it as a .wmv file.
You can then easily upload the edited version to YouTube.
