It is amazing how much cooler that open rear window makes the car. The first interstate trip (less than 100 miles after restoration) was in hot weather and on the morning of the second day I thought "I shall see if opening that window makes a difference". It did.
Apparently the opening rear window is very rare, and on this car is combined with no sun roof, and an opening windscreen. The standard Falcon Series II body had the sunroof and windscreen. In our climate I prefer the current set up.
