I to have always fancied a tractor, don't know why? I have only driven one once, and that was Buzzy's tractor, I drove it 50 yards around a farm yard , and then someone asked us if we could tow a bus, so my next 50 yards was with a bus in tow That said I don't know where or when I would use it.
The other thing I fancy is a lorry, something like a Morris MRA, or even better an Albion Chieftain
On a more modern note a Lotus Sunbeam.
I have written to Santa so I guess I just have to wait

A late 1969 or early 1970 Ford Cortina 1600E in either Ermine White or Silver Fox. The Ermine White car should be plain white but a Silver Fox car could have a black vinyl roof for contrast. And both cars must have the 13" chrome wheel embellishers.
All 1600Es had black interiors but if I had a white car I would like a non original red interior.
I still consider the 1600E to be a fabulous car. _________________ Starting Handle Expert

Type of vehicle rather than specific model? A shooting break I think, a proper woodie, British built of course. |

Hi Ironhead, you are into bigger stuff than me , I had a ride in a Crusader not so long ago, very seventies with fake wood everywhere, but I liked it
.
Most of my family have an HGV licence, I have never had a reason to get one, but a classic like a Crusader might tempt me !!

Make mine a coach please. One of those short wheelbase ones with about 17 seats.
Duple Bella Vista
Cut moquette upholstery, oilcloth floor and those art deco interior lights that don't appear anywhere else but on coaches. |

I once drove a Silver Shadow 11. It was like driving a very quiet Transit van, only not quite as useful.

I drove PD3 Leylands and Lodekkas and Daimler fleetlines but that was 40 years ago. Would love a shot at one of them again.
Another type of vehicle funnily enough would be a fire engine or any emergency vehicle. The thought of driving through red lights and flying up the wrong side of the road really appeals to me. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Hi
This talk of coaches and buses reminds me of the Royal Blue Bristol LS the postwar one with the roof rack, always liked those for some reason. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Another 'silent' car is the Humber Super Snipe, an Uncle had one in the 1950's,
it was often stated you could hear the clock in a RR.
that is true, or was, of the Humber |
