Interesting, but you'd have to be a serious collector to buy it. What would you do with it? Keep it cotton wool, therefore rendering it useless, or use it, rendering it to the ranks of a used Land Rover.(allbeit rather special)
Incidentally, in 1968, I'm told that Austin fitted six Gipsys with the B40, to be evaluated on an Arctic trip for the Army. Two weeks before the trip, the BL take-over happened, and the Gipsy was dumped in favour of LR, and the Rolls engined ones cut up.
Talking of which, my daughter bought a Gipsy in 1993, with only about 2000 miles on, kept in a shed all it's life. It's still in her shed, cos she doesn't know what to do with it!
