|
|
Years ago commercial vehicles also had to display a 'C' (operators???) disc in the screen, along with the usual tax disc. Twin 'tax disc' holders were produced and were fitted to lorries and vans. I'd like to put a twin setup in my E83W - does anyone have a scan of what the old 'C' disc should look like, so that I could print one out. I'd look online but I'm not exactly sure what they were called - any ideas?

Rick when your E83W was being used for business the operators licences were an A for long distances a B for shorter distances and a C which was normally used by manufacturing companys and the like who owned their own vehicles this allowed them to go anywhere, the disc you are thinking of if my terrible memory serves me right was a white back ground with a large black C in the middle, around the edge I'm sure it said something like Ministry of Transport in small black letters, I will stand corrected on this if someone can help better, regards Johno |

Hi Rick,
I've been pieceing together an archive of vehicle tax disc's, etc for a while now and I know I've got a selection of "use" related discs as well - another wee job for tomorrow.
What sort of period are you looking for?
Scotty. |

Hi Rick,
No worries, however if the archive has one (or something close to it) it'll be a copy you'd get, our museum doesn't give anything away, it keeps everything in little arcylic sleeves for posterity + infinity + 1. |

Hi Rick,
Bad news I'm afraid - nothing in the range of discs you've asked about, sorry. |
