My wife doesnt really bother that much either way. She will come to the odd car show in the summer and rake about the clothes stalls at the big autojumbles. I always get her to clean the windows on the estate and there is plenty of them. I hate cleaning windows. But on the whole she just leaves me to potter about. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

We always do them together, but one thing that bugs me is that if Simon is with the car people talk to him about it but no one talks to me - have come to the conclusion that a man with a classic has a passion for old cars but when it is a woman it is only a woman in the other halfs car!!! _________________ 1968 Volvo Amazon estate (Gracie)

Not for car shows or autojumbles but will participate in club tours and road runs.

The memsahib used the 10/4 for 15 years for shopping and social calls. These days she is not so keen, having become used to power steering. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I need to take a comment back - went out in Gracie today and one gentleman commented on how good she was and another one told me off for using her when the roads had been salted! _________________ 1968 Volvo Amazon estate (Gracie)

So you are in a no win situation. The next time it happens ask him what old car he has. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

| Gael is very keen, so much so that I've bought a second 1.5 so we have one each. |

My wife sees my cars as competition for the money that currently gets spent/wasted on clothes When we were young and in 'lurve' she travelled the country with me in the quest for bits. Now she moans when I spend time in the garage 'guddling'.

Apparently anything to do with messing with the cars is "playing" and costs me any hard earned brownie points I may have
The worst thing is that Sheila would prefer me to sell the Austin 10 and get a campervan. nearly as bad is the fact that I am not allowed to get my preferred option of a Fiat Amigo or similar because they are "too small".
I just lock myself away and mess about anyway. |

| My boss is not too keen on riding in the Caddy she says everyone looks. This is after a lifetime of American cars. I tried explaining that is half the fun. She does enjoy some of the shows, but not many. |

If you work it right Colwyn you can have the best of both worlds:
