I didnt really take an interest in classic cars until about 15 years ago. Up until then I was heavily into our local social club being secretary for years.I had enough of being out until midnight 4 nights a week and gave it up. I was also interested into my garden. I often wish I had got into classic cars much earlier. If I didnt have a classic car I would probably take more interest in my garden but I would probably just sit about now in the winter months. Quite boring really. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

If I didn't have classic cars to keep me occupied I would probably spend more time on 35mm and medium format photography. |

Spend more time in other vintage technologies.

I'm fascinated by old photos, there's so much to be learnt from them, especially social history so restoring old photos would probably be my major interest. |

Sea fishing. Bit cold at this time of year and I'm getting old for trudging across the shingle or launching my boat. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I have written a book though. https://amzn.eu/d/7rwRRqL |

I've always wanted to restore old furniture. If I can get rid of one of my cars and make some room I may have a go at it myself. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. Old farm machinery, or maybe obscure scooters like Zundapps, Maico etc. |

I saw an old Routemaster a month or two ago in Worcester. It looked like a running restoration. Spotted it again a day or two later in a used commercial vehicle sales plot in Kidderminster, now it has vanished |

Done a bit of that but now sorting out old house with 17C basics. Very enjoyable if time consuming and probably I'll never finish it! _________________ Jonathan Butler

In common with many of the guys on here; I've only to see something being restored or crafted in some way and I want to have a go at it.
I reckon it all started with my Meccano set. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I have written a book though. https://amzn.eu/d/7rwRRqL |

I enjoy wood working (albeit in its very basic form)
If I wasn't in classic cars though I think I'd be more into that!! |
