The beauty of Yellowstone may not have changed, but transport and visitors are far different from the early days of coaches and cars.

http://yellowstoneparknews.blogspot.ca/2007_05_01_archive.html

For those who travel without a car or just choose to be driven around, the carefree days of close encounters with bears and moose have long gone.

Even after 4 visits in the last 11 years I never tire of the place.

The modern air conditioned "yellow" coaches are designed to prevent the tourists from feeding the animals and the bears from eating the tourists.

As a park ranger once told us, "having bears eat the tourists is not good for business."

Certainly not !. I was never keen on the front fender design and the colour is not my favourite.
