Made by C.H. Wood of Bradford, this film contains footage of motor bike racing events from 1955 including the Ilkley Grand National, the Yorkshire Sports Car Club `4/44 Trophy Trial', and Scarborough Road Races.

Many thanks for that John. I used to Police Coverdale and later Wharfedale, where the Alan Jeffries Trial was filmed, but later than 1955!
Cheers John. |

Hi
Great little film.
I wonder if that in-line three wheeler is still around. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

My father used to be in the Glasgow Tigers Speedway team then he was into Stock Car racing driving sit-up and beg Fords of which there were always 2 or 3 lying in various states of dis-repair in our back garden. I remember he hadn't raced for a full season and still had enough points to be in the top ten at the end of the season _________________ ROVER

A really good film. I remember years ago my dad took me to the speedway in Motherwell. I always remember Noel Watson and Bluey Scott. _________________ The Clan Chieftain |

Fantastic. That really took me back to my first years of motorcycling. _________________ Due to the onset of my mid eighties I'm no longer sprightly and rarely seen in my Austin special. I have written a book though. https://amzn.eu/d/7rwRRqL |

Nice film and great commentary if slightly out of sync.
Thanks for posting,
