Wondering if someone can help narrow down the date of build.
A friend in Canada has posted this on another forum.
A garden ornament with style.
So far we have ascertained it a FM E27N roadless half track.
The makers plate has.
Built in Dagenham, Serial number is 1178967 followed by a 'T' I think. The caterpillar arrangement is by "Roadless Track Equipment type DG4"
Can anyone point us in some direction with regards to finding the age.
The other question is,
We have found plenty of photos with reference to this model but why do some have rubber tyres and some steel tyres on the front wheels.

Sorry I can't help with dating, Roger. There were quite a few half-track Fordsons in Australia and in fact I have posted the odd photo of some. If it is of help, let me know and I will hunt for those pics.
Unfortunately it seems that one has to sign up to that forum to view the link. _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |
