|
|
| Hi, I have some wear on my track rod ends and Steering ends and need to replace them. I believe the orginals are scarce like hens teeth. Has anybody used others? In asking that, what are the difference's in thread types UNF and BSF and does anyone have an idea what the thread type is on the rods? Cheers |

Hi
The track rod ends are available new, the Morris Register Spares stock them or can get them. NOS units often come up on ebay
The track rod end threads are handed, and will be either BSF or BSW (can't remember which) , the only UNF threads on a Morris 8 are on the brake slave cylinders.
By the way, most of the engine and gearbox threads on a Morris 8 are metric, but the nuts and bolt heads fit BSF spanner size's
