Hi I thought Id say hello as ive just joined the forum, although I have been visiting for the last couple of years.
Im currently restoring a Jensen Interceptor which I bought for a nut and bolt restoration project 18 months ago, so far I have had lots of welding carried out and the shell is now painted and fitted with new steering and suspension.
I am now in the process of refurbishing or replacing every component before it is refitted to the car and I expect at least another 18 months to complete this. Here are a couple of photos of the car, I am currently installing the sound and heat proofing to the bulkhead.
The full story of my restoration so far can be found by following this link to the Jensen Owners Club forum

Hi Dave, welcome to the forum. Quite a task which has been carried out to a high standard. Well done - will look forward to more reports. What is the dark grey protection on the bulkhead & o/s inner wing? Cheers,JD. _________________ 1958 Ford Zephyr Mk2 Convertible

John
The dark grey material is a 13mm closed cell foam called armaflex this provides heat and sound insulation and is then covered with the silver high temp fabric as it gets very hot in these engine bays and the manifolds run close to the bulkhead.
This is all as it should be when it left the factory, one of the joys of restoring these cars is the sheer amount of extra work like this that im not used to as previously I have owned MGB's a Humber Hawk and a MK1 Granada coupe.
Im having a great time working on the car though as I do like a challenge and have always wanted to try a full nut and bolt restoration. _________________ Dave

Hi & welcome inhere
what a job you did on the Jensen
looking good
Know a guy close to me here in DK, who owns a few Jensen cars .
The closest I get, is that my car have the same radio / 8track player, as a Jensen
