|
|
When a previous owner goes to the trouble of repairing something but uses the incorrect wood and takes short cuts when cutting out only localised sections so weakening other sections this is when i go .
Seeing is believing.
I am on the hunt for any pictures of a Morris 8 Tourers wood ash frame prior to the covering with tin.
From the photos i hope to try and get the wooden frame back to what it used to be and at the same time replace the missing parts.
I am assuming a tall order would be detailed drawings
The car i am working on was done up just enough to go and sit in a museum, not on my watch. The car still has many more miles to come before it will be allowed to retire!

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the feedback i noticed from the picture there doesn't seem to be pieces of the back wheel arches? Or am i missing something, I tried emailing Enrique but like other emails sent i will wait patiently for a reply.
There isnt maybe a second page to the sketches you sent through.
Regards

Can anyone else shed any light on Enrique Llinares? Does he still trade? Is he exclusively Morris/mg etc

I had an email from him a few weeks ago. He does still trade and says he specialises in Morris 8 tourers and several MG models. (I was asking about Riley and ash supplies)
He will copy an old frame, if it is still in a reasonable condition.
His current work schedule is for new orders to be started about this time next year - 2014.
