I was losing water, or rather she was, every week and it being the end of last Winter, had to have anti freeze in it as well, I was buying bluecol by the gallon.
Finally decided to try making the new old stock radiator I'd bought off feebay two years ago for a 1700cc "O" series engine set up fit, somehow.
(Mine is a diesel B series, 1800cc)
I took it after finding the old chap was still in business, just about, to A1 radiators in Banbury Oxon.
All it needed was an extra small cranked pipe for the expansion tank soldering on! A la Jaguar I think.
After fitting the new rad and using the water from my dehumidifier, yes, I now know it's no good, things were a bit better until that is, I got spray on the windscreen, even on a warmish day!
Finally decided to check water pump when odd noise started, 1/16th of an inch or more in pump bearing decidedc me to replace it at £33 plus vat and post of course.
Job was a very good 'un, despite old pump ally body and new cast iron and metric threads for the fan...
Both dryer and quieter now, if that's at all possible?
