Not the cheapest car in the world to run perhaps, but I do like the oddball styling of the CV8.

Always fancied one but running costs do put me off. Have a feeling but could be wrong there is a piece of chassis which can awkward to repair as inside the fibreglass sill.

Anyway back on topic this car was sold by Brightwells at their sale on 15th May 2013 the hammer price being 11000. To this you must add 10 per cent buyers premium plus VAT on that so my calculation is the vendor paid 12320 quid for it.

Not sure why it should need the heads removing - gives rise to worrying thoughts!

Funnily the running costs convinced me to buy an Interceptor years ago! Cheap (for parts) big V8 Chrysler engine and transmission, readily available Lucas electrics. Okay it is (very) thirsty, but when you would want a fast stylish car of the sixties all the contenders are big on fuel. And would you use it as an everyday runner? The V8 can be easily converted to LPG.
Aston Martins or exotic Italians are too expensive to buy and parts costs are astronomical (AM engine rebuild parts easily cost 4x Jaguar parts).
With Jensen there is a very good and friendly OC and forum as well.

The complete floor and chassis of the CV8 is steel and will rot extensively, so a good check there would be necessary.
