I agree, Rick. A cleverly made film and well worth bringing to members' notice every couple of years. _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |

I've seen it before, but as a Healey 3000 owner I'd like to stress that I'm not quite as much of an idiot as that bloke! My wife had one when we got married to, way back in 1970.
It's worth watching IMO, it's amazing what's on YouTube. Has anyone seen Jaguar Victory by Design or the 1958 Coupe des Alpe by Shell, which is quite an eye opener.

Thanks Ashley, I particularly liked the 1958 Alpine featuring one of my boyhood heroes, Peter Harper.
Much influential in my initial motoring years.

Great film, just shows what can be produced on a small budget, it the sort of film that inspirers budding directors I think it got some awards in the early 60's .......and just like its contemporary films; the decent chap wins the girl

Nice little silent movie.
I watched it the other day while waiting for a plane in Hong Kong a nice time filler.
i don't know about using the vacuum for spray painting - I'll stick with compressed air

Hi
The cylinder vacuum cleaner spray gun was quite a common accessory back in the late 50's.
My father used one to spray our Austin ten/four, in the garden using Valspar enamel, I seem to remember it needed quite a lot of thinners to get it to spray. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

I remember an old Electrolux Cylinder vac that my parents had when I was a kid, it had a glass and green plastic spray gun attachment can't remember it ever being used.
Having done quite a lot of spraying recently, I can't think of a worse device to deliver the air power for a spray gun......low pressure and full of dust !
