Not me, one of our Club members. His insurance is due for renewal in September and he's just been advised by his current insurer that they won't cover him because he's 89.

Any suggestions for where he might ask? He's rung around a few but the reply is the same - too old Sad

For the last 20 years I've had good service from:

Vintage Car Insurance Associates,
124 High Street
Godstone
Surrey
RH9 8DX

01883 744 040

In the past they restricted their service to cars 1947 and older. I'm not sure if this still applies.

The cost hasn't changed much over my term (~£95 fully comp for my SS Jaguar . No milage limit)

Peter

I could not put into words on this forum the trouble I had with this mob after my father passed away in December 2011. I tried for weeks to ring and email them to cancel his policy, and to arrange temporary cover so we could use the car at his funeral, they never came back to me. I am an insurance underwriter, and I was shocked at their dreadful service and poor lack of understanding at a difficult time. I would not use them again.

Go with RH classics, very helpful team there, and they got me out of difficulty in the above scenario!
