Is there any better feeling in old-vehicle ownership, than firing up an engine for the first time?

I felt great when I fired up my mates Gazelle after it had been off the road for 28 years.

I feel a wee bit chuffed when I fire up my transit after a week!

Rick
I seem to recall meeting a chap with a rather lovely 30/98 at a VSCC New Year meet at that mock medieval castle up your way (that burnt down? and whose name escapes me). It must be 3 or 4 years ago and he was restoring a WW1 lorry. Is this it by chance?
