On the M4 Newport lunchtime today I was overtaken by a newish Range Rover with what I first thought was an XK 150, but the rear was all wrong. Reg number WSU 530 shows up a Jaguar, but not which model. Sorry no pic, as I was driving, but does the number mean anything to anyone?

Online it's coming up as a MkVIII Jaguar, 3.4 litre, 1958. Could it be that? or a special based on that car's running gear?

Yeah, I saw that Rick, but this car was much smaller than a Mk8, more XK size. I only caught a glimpse of the front as it passed, but I thought it was XK. It was only the back which was wrong. I would have chased him, but I was towing my caravan at the time, and he was travelling much faster than I want to tow!

I wonder if it's one of these mis-proportioned XK "replicas"?
