Welcome to the forum - lovely car, hopefully someone will have a wiring diagram to help you (I don't think I have one, but I will check).

Hi Ian,

I know that all car wiring diagrams are much the same but that doesn't really look like it was for a Morris 8 SE!

Peter

Here's a closer version..

Laughing Um just to through another spanner into the works. Seeing as the car is in Portugal and left hand drive, would it not come under the export model wiring diagram? I have both on my manual, but can copy individual pages as its on a PDF file that has a security lock.

Thanks a lot!!
I seach in web but only find techical Service Sheet in (www.morris8cars.zxq.net) but don't have electrical diagram. If you know where I find more usefull techical information please tell me where is it to buy it or download.

Now, I will buy a dynamo and try to fix it. I already buy a voltage regulator in ebay. It isn't easy to find it with good price! I don't know the state of it, it's easy to fix?

Thanks,
Gonçalo Neves

Hi Gonçalo,

The diagram I posted appears in various books but a very inexpensive source would be this little book:

If it is like the Austin A40 Devon I used to own (1949), there is a small nut on the bottom of the steering box which needs removing before the switch, horn button, and the tube down which the wiring passes, can be pulled up and out of the column. Maybe the Morris is similar?
