Oh Lord yes, it was by far my favourite toy. I've still got some of it. I always wanted a motor, even a clockwork one would do but I had to manage without. |

Yes, I loved Meccano too. Apart from the joy of making things it was excellent for toughening up your finger tips for big boy's toys. Those little square nuts had very sharp points on them.

I too loved Meccano and had a clockwork motor
Was gutted when my dad informed me that he'd donated it to the church jumble sale along with my scalextric

In clearing out the house when I sold it in June I came across a box of old brass gears. I hadn't seen them in 40 years I reckon. All perfect and hardly used since I was given them just as my interests changed. |

I lost my set, just found the empty box at my mum's house!!
However I have to collect a set from the father in law who found one at a jumble sale and it is almost complete and in good condition! |
