I'm just back from my local boating "supermarket" happily clutching an expensive tin of epoxy primer. I maybe saved 25% over online prices with delivery. The great thing is I could just have it there and then and get the benefit of browsing their other wares.
With epoxy based body-filler, stainless steel fastenings of all kinds, specialist lubricants and engine protecting fluids, I wish I had found the place sooner.
I recommend such places to all old car enthusiasts.

Its nice browsing all the engineering shiny bits in chandlers ! Very Happy

About 10 years ago, I went in an old fashioned department store in Paris, about an 8 story building; on the top floor one could purchase a Rolex, or treat the wife to a Valentino bag. The next floor was a step down from top designer clothing, a couple of floors more was the cheap clothing, then the expensive interior stuff , going down more floors to everyday interior stuff...you get the picture

The basement was labeled "Bricolage" (DIY) not your B&Q diy but loads of engineering bits , I'd swear you could buy everything on that floor to build a light aircraft...I was like a kid in a sweet shop Smile ...just worried that I'd left my better half on the top floor Shocked
