Yes, I saw that too, but was put off, like Rick, by the lack of info on the mechanics and interior. It looks like it has been off the road for many years, so doubtless the mechanics will need major attention. A labour of love, because the end product will never be worth a lot of money. _________________ in the garage: 1938 Talbot Ten Airline

Yes, the interior looks pretty good. Complete and unspoiled and similar condition to the exterior. The engine room looks good too.

Lovely car and superb condition.
Estimate of £2-3k is also realistic. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

That car used to belong to someone who lives near me (since the early seventies), and before that it belonged to his father. I believe there are quite a lot of spares around the car, either separately or as part of the package, but I'm not quite sure on the details. I did have a bit of a look around it when they were trying to get it running, but not in any great detail. |

Did they get it running, do you know? |

Perhaps she wouldn't notice if I put up the Gazebo with curtain sides on the drive? |

I don't think so. It was trying to fire when I left, but I don't think it actually started. |

The only reason I ask is because I once spent many hours trying to get one to go but it was very reluctant to run.
I once found a derelict 'Big Nine' which is basically an earlier version of the same thing. Sadly, someone had tried set a fire inside. The chassis had only rusted through under the radiator which was apparently quite a common place to go but the body was no more than a hologram; it had rusted through all over.
The site was developed so whether it has survived or not I don't know. I took a photo but unfortunately it too has perished. |

Went for £2700, according to a mate. Can't get the H and H site to open up at the moment. |
