When we were kids the "Den" was the place to escape to from your normal surroundings.

You had a nice comfy house you shared with your family but the den was the place you escaped to with a few mates to cook stolen food from the larder, smoke your first fag, talk about your conquests with girls to your mates (although nothing had happened ) and pretend you were Davy Crockett,Jesse James or the Lone Ranger.

When us "Males " get older our den changes into all other sorts of stuctures.

The garden shed, the garage,the lock up or rented barn.

Having just finished building additional storage and covered areas for my vehicles, I wondered if other folk had interesting sheds, garages or storage areas to keep their vehicles and "play".

Have you personalised your den. Have you collected automobilia to adorn its walls. Have you moved your bed into it.!!!!
Do you collect and adorn the walls with items.?

When it stops raining I will photograph my latest structure.

No additional 'den' here, just car related items in every room in the house except the bathrooms.

BTW - when I wore a Davy Crockett hat I definitely didn't have a sex life, I was four...

Peter,

Lots of radio equipment.

Are you a radio ham.?

What is the horn.?

Do you keep your radio spares in the drawers.?

Which reminds me, I rescued a number of old AVO meters (and similar) the other day from a domestic garage being cleared, plus a load of tools. They're slowly being integrated into the motor house, more space is definitely required....

I think photos of the motor house (aka garage) have been posted here before, it has all manner of tools and related gubbins stacked up, hanging from the roof, etc etc. Too much really, it makes actually doing things in the garage a bit tight sometimes.

Is that the light blue Zephyr we can see in the garage.?

Do you have another photo showing it in full.?

This is my garage a year ago, in a messy Austin Champ week when a friend and I bought a parts car which was too good to scrap so we made it running again

Since then, the contents of the garage has changed quite a bit. The work bench on the right is clutter free, the cupboards at the back have moved to upstairs where I created a storage floor.
I guess one is never satisfied, my main annoyance is that I only have one garage door / entrance. Apart from that, I am very happy

In front of the TR4 there's space for another car. There's a small toilet room plus sink with hot/cold water. Enough windows to have day light, not necessary to put on the lights during the day. Best thing is that I have designed and constructed it all by myself - with the help of a friend.
