Hello again,
Just to continue the Route 66 theme.
The Disney film Cars was set on Route 66 and may even be partly responsible for the revival of interest in it.
The producers used several locations along the route as inspiration for scenes in the film.
We spotted this truck in Oklahoma and were told by some locals that it was the inspiration for Mator the dim witted tow truck.
I can't say for certain that this is the case but it seems plausible.
Incidentally, I don't normally have much time for Disney presentations but I do think that "Cars" was an exception.
It has so many clever scenes you have to watch it more than once to catch them all.
