John, there's loads of classic motorsport all over the internet. Have a look at this, https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=PExBCwPrFpE
It's the 1958 Coupes des Alpes. The white Riley 1.5 - driven by Bill Meredith-Owen - did very well, coming 14th overall and 2nd in class; pretty impressive for a private entry. |

Hi,Thanks for that. I went from racing to rallying to speed hill climb & sprints so quite a broad church - also a sign of ageing. I have looked at some of the stuff on utube mainly of people I know but will have a look at the link you kindly supplied. Kind regards,JD. _________________ 1958 Ford Zephyr Mk2 Convertible

Absolutely brilliant - really lifted my day & brought back lots of memories.
Great to see the brits & their cars holding their own, especially the ones that were the every day models(even though they were breathed on).
Thanks riley541, cheers,JD _________________ 1958 Ford Zephyr Mk2 Convertible
