Is there a club that accepts 1981 caravans, and which has a strong membership, rallies & meetings in the south west of England?
I have contacted the period & classic caravan club and they will allow membership but not display on club stand. However it doesn't have many rallies in this part of the country. |

The Caravan Club! What make is your caravan? Being on this forum is the best way to keep abreast of general classic caravan things but a 1980's van is a little like a car of that age - not really old enough yet to have gathered much following but steadily gaining in interest _________________ David Rachel

| The van is a 1981 Castleton Roadsman GL, one of two remaining I bellieve. I will be using it with my 1966 MK3 Ford Zodiac. |

I find the Camping and Caravan Club better than the Caravan Club.
They have regional rallies every weekend in the area you live as a member.
We used to go all over the country to different venues. If you fancy a weekend in the Cotswolds, just look up a rally in that area.
If you want to attend steam rallies or classic car shows you can normally stay over in the exhibitors camping area.
Not sure such a modern van would be allowed on the classic or vintage display areas.

As far as I know there isn't any clubs in the SW or the UK that take post 1980 caravans. Our club, the PCCC has the newest cut off date of 1980. But you could still take your caravan to vintage rallies as an individual entry, rather than on our stand. We will be at Boconnoc and the West of England this year, I'd be happy for you to park next to us and I can put out our club banner.
