As news filters through of this year's PoP, I'll add it in here.

------------------------

Cholmondeley Pageant of Power – 13th, 14th and 15th June 2014.

Status Quo Live! At the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power.

We are very excited to announce that legendary rock band, Status
Quo, are set to get the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power rocking when
they play the Opening Concert on Friday 13th June.

Status Quo are one of the most recognised and successful bands in
British history with 64 hit singles and 22 in the top ten.

Lead guitarist and keen car enthusiast, Rick Parfitt, said: "The
Cholmondeley Pageant of Power is all about noise, engine fumes and
having some serious fun. Works for me! Whilst all the band love
cars and the world of motoring, I have been a serious petrolhead
for as long as I can remember. As well as getting to perform for
what we know will be a great crowd, being in amongst the action
with some serious machinery is going to be a real buzz for me! Cars,
bikes, helicopters – count me in!"

Cholmondeley Pageant of Power 2014 – All things Italian.

Our 7th year promises 3 days of even more non-stop action for all
the family. This year's Italian theme will showcase the best of
Italy's historic and contemporary marques – Lamborghini, Ferrari,
Maserati, Bugatti, Ducati and Moto Guzzi amongst others. The Autocar
Supercar Paddock will be bigger than ever with fierce competition
to beat the fastest lap time of 55.29 seconds set in 2013 by Robbie
Kerr driving the Radical.

With non-stop watersport action on the
lake, death defying air displays together with Artisan food, Bars,
premium shopping, children's participation activities, this year's
Pageant will surely live up to its reputation as the UK's most
dynamic Motorsport event.

The only trouble with this is that Friday is now a charged day. In previous years, if you bought a ticket for Saturday or Sunday, you got in on Friday for nothing. There isn't an option to come in on Friday and not see the Quo concert, or there is, but you still have to pay for it. So after club display discounts and so on, it's added more than 50% on to the cost of the weekend.

It's still a bargain compared to other similar events (which I grant you are much bigger, but are also much further away for me), it's just a bit frustrating that we don't have the choice, other than to just not go on Friday. The preview day is nice, as there are things that don't happen on Sat/Sun, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra now.

Nice weather today at the preview day. Not a lot going on because there are no timed runs, but also nice to be able to get around the place without massive crowds of people. Forecast for the weekend seems pretty good as well.

Chop 6" off each side and I'm sure you'll recognise its diminutive form otherwise I'm sure there will be a few folk on this forum with the full answer.

Yes, the blue car is a silhouette Fiat 500, a similar blue to two being restored on here. I don't know what's in it, but I'll find out.

The miniature is a Bentley. I bet whichever of these turned up second was spitting.

Check the springs if you're thinking of buying this one:

Hunter was nicely noisy

Great pictures Mike Smile

I really wanted to go this year , but work commitments put pay to that Sad

Thought the timing was odd.... it is being held during the first w/e of the World Cup and it clashes with Le Mans? ( I'm at neither by the way Sad )

I think whatever they do it will clash with something - perhaps they think that clashing with LM isn't as bad as clashing with the classic version. I've heard there's something on at Brooklands this weekend as well, which put paid to the Sinnsheim museum display that usually turns up.

BTW, the Fiat 500 is running a BMC A-series engine.
