Too many new projects have come my way after a sortie into south west France last week.

So a Cheltenham Sable I was saving for a future project Is not going to get a look in.
She is the later model approx. 1971.

She has not been messed about with or taken apart like so many you see.

The interior is very good and complete with all the usual Cheltenham fittings..

She is dry internally.

She does tow OK. The tyres are new.
But a light board would be needed.

To be honest she is not a quick fix restoration over a weekend.

She has suffered around the front windows. The main side door frame leg needs replacing. The floor to the front of the caravan under the lockers needs attention.

A nice couple who are going to bring it back to life once more.

Not a bad little van, but I have more to do as it is.

None of the Cheltenham`s have been listed by me.
The one`s listed are totally different caravans.

The three Cheltenham`s on the farm pictures are nr Melton Mowbary.
They have been stripped out.

The third one is in Essex.
A lot of work.

The fourth one is in Flintshire.
Looks the same.

The fifth one is in Porton Hampshire.
Best of the bunch.

This is getting a bit confusing.

I have just looked on Ebay, as I was intrigued by all these Cheltenham Caravans all of a sudden.

I listed a caravan as a classified ad on Ebay as a project for a brave person or for breaking. I also posted it on here, project or for breaking. It sold.

Now the purchaser after getting it home has relisted it, appears he neither wants to restore it or break it.

All I know is I am getting filthy cleaning off 40 years of dirt from a Froggy Barn Find. Mind you there is very little welding to carry out.

Yes it was me. I have decided to have a swap round of classic cars and caravans, a hard decision as you know..
Sometimes you have to let go, to replace the toybox with something else.

We acquired a very nice Triumph Vitesse MK11 Convertible from a chance meeting with someone....only a fool would have walked away.

Then last week another opportunity far too good to miss came along...?

The Rover P4 100 is an excellent car to tow a classic or vintage caravan.
That 2.6ltr straight six engine takes it all in its stride.
This is an excellent example...absolutely nothing to spend your money on..its all been done.
