All of a sudden while out the other weekend in my Castleton Roberta, when I switch my heater on, the green light doesn't come on and the two lights on the fridge comes on instead. It does the same when I turn on the hot-water heater.
At the moment, because of this, I have no hot water and no heating. Neither will switch on except for the lights on the fridge.
Anyone got any ideas on where to start looking?
This is the switch for the heater.
Flick this down and two lights on the fridge come on.
The two lights on the fridge.

You have a fault with an earth. Both devices probably share an earth point which has gon open circuit. Therefore the heater is trying to earth through the 'fridge. _________________ Evans Waterless Coolants

So I'm guessing I need to trace the earth wire starting at the battery? _________________

Going to have a look tomorrow afternoon.
Just haven't had the time to do anything just lately. _________________

I have had a look now and found a fuse had blown on the heater wiring. Heater now works but the Hot water is still not working. Getting plenty of spark, but no gas to fire up. I'm suspecting its the gas valve on the hot water burner not working. I'm not going to pull it all apart till the end of September when I stop with the steam rallies, as it all looks very rusty and a bit fragile. I'll have a proper look in a week or two. _________________
