G'day Paul,
I would be there if I could mate, there is nothing I would like better.
As that is impossible.... would it be possible to see some photos of the caravans that do attend the event
Is anybody from this forum going to the Goodwood Revival, either with a car or a caravan ?
I believe there will be Classic/Vintage caravans on display there also, does anybody know where those caravans will be sourced from, Historic caravan club....Period & Classic Caravan Club.... or one of the "Owners clubs"
Sometimes I feel like I'm a long way from where the action is

Thanks for that response Paul, it sounds as though Goodwood... as far as the vintage caravan display goes, may be a non-event.

Thanks Paul,
That is a beautifully presented caravan, I will be watching to see what it sells for.
It is described as having a canvas roof... that would be canvas over ply wouldn’t it ?...although the photos from the inside look as though it might be just plain canvas unusual

HI Cobber
The roof on this one should be insulation board with canvas
on top. The inside has a head lineing type of material which i havent seen before but could well be original. i think the location of the van will put alot of folks off as its in scotland which is a long journey for most (200 - 300 miles ) which is not far for you, shame its not in Aussie !
if you would like some pics of the vans at this weekends steam rally i can email them to you but i will need your email address and if you want to put them on the forum you are welcome too. cheers Paul |

Thanks Paul,
I would appreciate seeing photos of the vans at one of your gatherings.
I have changed my “profile” so that it now includes my email address.
Next month we are having a rally here on the east coast, we expect about 40 vans to attend, most of them made in the 50’s & 60’s which means they might not qualify for one of your vintage / classic caravan rallies ..... but on the other hand, we would think nothing of driving 300 miles to inspect a 1931 caravan, maybe even 3000 miles .

HI cobber
I would love to see some pics from your rally its not vary often now days that that we can muster 40 plus vans at one rally !.
alot of rallys now have vans from the 60s 70s and some time the 80s the pre war stuff is getting seen less and less.
There out there still but folks seem reluctent to get out and show them!
regards Paul |
