I recently bought a mascot, an eagle/hawk of some sort but its wings are bent (I could see that in the photos before I bought it). They're not too bad but it would look better if they were straightened. Does anyone know where I might get this done in the UK? _________________ David

David, if I were you I'd leave well alone unless the mascot is made from brass, as some where. Many, though, were made from Mazac (an alloy high in zinc) which doesn't like being messed with, it's inherently brittle.
Brass based items will usually stand a bit of manipulation but beware of damaging any chromium finish.

I think that's exactly what I will do Ian, leave it alone. It is nicely chromed and I don't want to ruin that and it looks OK behind glass in my display cabinet. _________________ David
