I believe that I spotted that catering truck at the Woodcote rally last year, does it do the rounds at Southern events?

Pete.

Looking at the first post photo, it reminds me of the truck that terrorised Dennis Weaver in the Stephen Spielberg film "Duel" from 1971.

Scary!

Bringing the thread back from the dead I thought you might appreciate some info about the op's photo.

The truck was built by Steve Darnell of Welderup just outside of Las Vegas.

In need of something to haul all of his cars with, Steve was stoked to find the '47 Diamond T truck in Montana. With left over parts from previous builds, the Diamond T was born. The engine is a 5.9, 12-valve Cummins with a hybrid turbo from another project. The VE-pump was swapped for a P-pump, Industrial Injection injectors were installed, and for reliability a FASS fuel system was added. The Diamond T cab is sitting on a 2006 Dodge Mega Cab 4 WD chassis with a custom built dump bed and headache rack. A smooth 6 speed transmission gives this hauler a steady highway ride. The interior features hand tooled custom leather panels by Sterling Lamb and there are two 15,000-lb Warren winches mounted front and back. The best part about this truck is if something breaks, Steve can rob parts off the diesel rods in tow and keep on going. This truck truly was built for work and not play!
