Hi all,

does anyone remember a tv programme about an American who tried to buy a old racecar (Mercedes?) from a peasant / farmer in some country behind the iron curtian,

The car was crashed & rolled down a mountain, and a local farmer had collected all the parts, and put them in his barn.

The US guy met the farmer and got the steering Wheel from the car, as proof to its ID, and agreed to buy 20 (?) trucks of some local make, in order to get the car out of the country.

He was lured, and after the deal, the car dissapeared, but the journalists found someone who gave them a picture of the now restored car.

The programme was shown about 20 years ago.
