Anyone been watching 'Backroad Gold' on the travel channel.
I actually quite liked it, roaming the backroads of the USA for barnfinds of all descriptions. |

Another one I haven't seen before is Restoration Garage, about The Guild of Automotive Restorers which is based in Ontario and does everything in house. The programme I saw yesterday was about restoring a Bugatti Aerolithe. _________________ David

The last episodes of Backroad Gold they found an old bus, then an early 1930's Packard Roadster and some nice old petrol pumps etc.
They basically just roam the countryside looking for barns and cars in fields, try and buy them then take them back to the workshops and restore them to sell on.
The Packard was just boxes of bits but they still paid a few hundred thousand dollars for it!
They have a website, www.honestcharley.com
check it out for some great pictures. |
