I remember reading about Dr. Escoffery and his Baker electric, back in about 1961. I was just reminded about him and the car, and found this-

The odd modern movement towards straight electric and petrol electric cars is merely re-running old ideas in a new way. The problems that inhibited those vehicles in the early part of last century still exist in spite of recent developments, which have, I agree, lessened them to some degree. _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |
