Hi folks, not sure where this should go but I'm sure Rick will sort it!

For those interested in engineering have a look at this youtube link:-

He was wasted as a policeman - pure genius,
cheers,JD.

You can store quite a lot of energy in quite small batteries these days an I think that cylinder was full of them.

I have some of these magnets,

They are scary strong for their size.

I'm sure I have some too, in various disc drives.

As the first article says:

"What is the next step now? Engel wants to attach a small generator to the shaft and show that his motor delivers more electricity than is needed for its control. If he could do that, we'd really have some sensational news."

Don't hold your breath!

Peter

Hi all, this appears to work but, looking into it further, this is not the only guy to be involved, with many others having similar & bigger versions of the same. The Turkish one was reported as if he had designed it, which is not true. It is supposed to be going on sale next year at about £15,000. I also believe it is possible to purchase the plans etc, maybe from Amazon. I also found another youtube vid with a magnetic motor driving a generator but very little info on load etc. In the demo at Delft University the Turkish one was taken completley apart & there didn't appear to be anything in there but magnets in plastic holders - also enough professors taking part to spot fakery but who knows, cheers,JD.
