Did anyone else watch it?

I thought it was a brilliant episode and they really did capture the the feel of Veteran car custodianship. It was funny seeing people I know quite well, albeit over the phone, doing what they do.

I was very amused at Mike Brewer's reaction when Nigel said "we don't price jobs" and especially at both <Mike and Ed's reactions at getting the car started.

I must confess to watching through my fingers at their attempts to drive the car but felt their pain, exhaustion and exhilaration.

If you've not seen it then I heartily recommend it to you.

Last night's episode was genuinely enjoyable.

What is normally shown on Wheeler Dealers is contrived, prepared and not spontaneous as it was in the early series.
I refer to the Audi TT two weeks ago. I read on another forum that the Audi belonged to a friend of forum member and it was a second choice car. The director had rejected a red Audi TT which had been bought earlier as not being photogenic enough.

The black one was then bought in Cornwall by staff of Wheeler dealers and transported to London by trailer where it was partially dismantled by a team of mechanics. It did have a genuine gearbox fault and the solution to repair was decided in the studio.

The Audi was trailered back to Cornwall for Mike Brewer's purchasing scene and "initial" test drive. It was then trailered back to London where a team of four mechanics worked on it. Ed China, I believe, did nothing except staged and recorded scenes of the gearbox's repair.

Don't believe all you see on TV but, of course, you don't need me to tell you that.

I was amused to see an episode where Mike Brewer went to look at a car on ebay (described in the program as an internet auction house) then went away and bid for it. Having won the car he then drove away, telling the camera "I'm amazed how good I am at this job".
Yes thats true Mike,I bet nobody else has ever thought of buying a car via ebay!.
