|
|
I am picking up a car from France (car is not for me !) its a 1939 Morris that was originally registered in the UK, the owner emigrated to France some years ago and took the car with him, he then registered the car in France so its on French plates with correct paperwork and has now sold it to someone in the UK.
Firstly can I just stick the car on a trailer, take it back to the UK and let the new owner sort any customs fee and DVLA registration, or is there some paperwork required in advance or at the docks?
Secondly, is anyone aware what paperwork should come with the car; I'm assuming some sort of equivalent to our V5C, and is there any process I need to adhere to, in the same way we do with our V5C? (signing by either party etc)
Thanks in advance

Hi
I would think the biggest problem of doing a 3rd party job like that would be substances hidden behind door cards etc. and inside tyres, seats, fuel tanks etc. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

You can just bring it straight through the customs provided there is nothing hidden in the car that shouldn't be of course as said above...
and the new owner can sort out the NOVA paperwork within 2 weeks of arrival iirc....
