Hi
Saw this on the Old Bus Photos site and knowing that some of you live in that area, I though I should pass it on.

Quote:
Nantwich — Crosville and Other Operators
The Nantwich Museum Study Group is preparing an exhibition entitled ‘Nantwich at Play’. We
would be grateful for any information, photographs or other material about Crosyille excursion
services, originating or calling at Nantwich. On summer Saturdays in the 1950s and 1960s,
many seryices from the Midlands, Lancashire and Yorkshire made scheduled stops at Nantwich
en route to North Wales. We know that some of these yisits only inyolyed a couple of
Saturdays per year, perhaps in connection with towns’ Wakes weeks. Again, any material
gratefully receiyed (stet) and any used would, of course, be properly acknowledged in the exhibition

Thanks Penman

I live in Nantwich these days but only for the last 18 years, I'm a Chester lad, and must have walked past the Crosville workshops in Liverpool road Chester probably as many times as I had hot dinners, and went to many an an 18th celebration at the Crosville club in Sealand Road Smile

I went to College at a place called Carlett Park on the Wirral, used to get the Crosville C41 from Chester everyday for 2 years... With the girls who were on either the nursing courses or hairdressing courses...Happy Days !

Dave
