However, potential buyers probably don't realise but this is a very dangerous product which Carlight stopped fitting to their caravans once the problem became apparent. In working order and unenergised everything seems fine, however when the unit fails in operation it prevents the caravan brakes being applied and is therefore very dangerous.

After discovering the fact, and consulting with Carlight who were at the time in existence I removed my unit, discarded my spares and have ever since advised other Carlight owners accordingly.

I have suggested to the seller that their conscience would lead them to removing the item from sale, or at the very least advising any purchasers of the risks of fitting the item to a caravan.
