I've added a page to the main site about this recent "find".

It's tiny, only about 6ft in length bodily, and constructed from wood, aluminium and a kind of fibreboard type stuff.

More photos at http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/old-caravan.htm.

If anyone has caravan magazines from say the 1930s to the early 1950s, please bear this 'van in mind while reading them as I'd love to find out who made it. Although it could be homebuilt, I think it was more likely built professionally.

thanks, RJ.

Hi
A collection of practical engineer type magazines from that era might be appropriate as well, I have seen designs for homebuilds in such magazines, the plate could have been because a proprietry built chassis was employed.

Yes that's a definite possibility, hopefully it'll strike a chord with someone out there.

The wheels look a bit like later 2-speeder, Morgan 3-wheeler ones. Cup and cone bearings can still be got from the club.
