Hello

I am about to list on that well known auction site a vintage Boa Constrictor horn, but I need some advice.

I don't know the date this was made and have no idea on the kind of value.

Obviously for insurance I'll need at least an idea before I list it.

The bulb is missing, so should I buy a replacement before selling, or just sell it as it is.

I thank you for any advice provided.

Very Happy

Have you tried Googling it? Your question might be better addressed to Bonhams or some such.

That's a beauty!! Buy a bulb and sell it complete. In that condition you are looking at £700-800.

That's a lovely piece! I would say it dates from 1906-12 period, and I agree that you would be better off selling it through a good quality auction house rather than through eBay.
I wouldn't bother with a new bulb, it will sell just as well without!

Rubber bulbs do not cost much, made in India. They make millions ! It will make it look more complete, for the sale. Just my opion.
