I sent my V5 and MOT to Swansea earlier this month, and had not received either back, so contacted DVLA to see if they had got lost in the post.
I received a nice reply, taxation class altered, confirmation it was taxed. I checked on the web site, and yes, correct, my 1974 Commando is now tax free, and I can celebrate it's birthday next wednesday as it is 40 years since registration, so now I can fritter away the £80 it would have cost to tax it, on something else.
Now wheres that link to Holdens................ _________________ KA

I did mine in the Post Office on Wednesday afternoon. It took less time than I spent standing in the queue, and mine is a "complicated" one where the date of manufacture is an earlier year than the date of registration. I'd sent it off previously to have the manufacture date added to the V5, and it went very smoothly. They even posted my V5 off for me, so I saved a stamp. |
