I looked at this out of interest and then saw my nephew had built it. It does seem a lot of money for a special, I don't know how many original parts it has. But then Oliver produces amazing vehicles to a hugely high standard. Would it be better to spend this sort of money on a car like this or one that is basically all original and raced in the 20's?

I spotted that one a few days ago. Very interesting, but if I could find an original car that had race history, for a comparable outlay, I know where my £ would be going Smile

Nice Ulster reps seem to be in the £15k-20k area.

I have no doubt a vast amount of time and effort - and therefore money - went into the Salamanda project, but I really cannot see it being worth that sort of money on the open market... we shall see!

For the same money you could buy this Ruby special, which does at least have the original works Grasshopper engine and registration number...
